Curlyfleece - The Softest Coat Type For Australian Labradoodles

As the name implies, curlyfleece is the softest of our Australian Labradoodle coat types.curlyfleece These dogs have a beautiful, dense, curling texture that is often described as looking like lamb’s wool. This is a non-shedding coat type. It is also very low maintenance in comparison to the Fleece and Wool coats. This is a very popular coat type for families with pet allergies.

The Fleece coat resembles the soft angora goat hair in texture and appearance, which is the most commonly used of all coat types.curlyfleece It can be wavy or curly and is low to non-shedding.

Fleece coats are easy to groom, but they must be brushed at least once or twice a week and combed close to the skin to maintain their suppleness and prevent matting.curlyfleece They do not shed out the old coat, but rather new hairs grow through, so they do not require trimming.

Wool coats are more dense to the touch and resemble lamb’s wool in texture and appearance.curlyfleece They can be straight, wavy or form loose spirals and are very low to non-shedding.

As with the Fleece coat, a wooly dog requires regular brushing, about two to three times per week to keep it tangle free.curlyfleece It is important to comb out the entire coat, getting the undercoat as well. Wooly dogs do not shed out their old coat, but they do grow in new hairs that can be matted if left unbrushed.
